Roch Valley Radio has covered the spring 2026 Crossing the Line tour, which takes the programme into Yorkshire for the first time.
Nineteen sessions across fourteen schools in Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and Derby – a long way from the single Rochdale commission the work started as.
Speaking to the station, Parvez said: “We are incredibly proud to see Crossing the Line expand into Yorkshire. The project was created in direct response to the growing issue of child criminal exploitation and the grooming of young people into criminal activity, something affecting communities across the country.”
Superintendent Dan Mitchell of the National County Lines Coordination Centre, which funds the programme, told Roch Valley Radio that the combination of theatre and structured follow-up gives schools something with genuine depth rather than a one-off assembly.
The piece also includes feedback from Tracy Heaton, headteacher at Marus Bridge Primary in Wigan, whose pupils took part last year and are working with us again this year.
Crossing the Line is free to schools. If yours would like to take part, do get in touch.
