Can I use the exhibition space for what I've got in mind?

Almost certainly.

We've hosted rehearsals, workshops, training, craft days, board meetings, yoga classes and even performances in here. It's a flexible room rather than a fixed setup, so if your idea doesn't look like anything on that list, get in touch and tell us about it — we'd rather hear it than have you assume the answer's no.

How many people does it hold, and what's already in the room?

There are 22 chairs and 3 tables on wheels, plus overhead lighting and sound and a projector. You've also got free WiFi, underfloor heating, a fridge and a microwave — and the communal kitchen with free tea, coffee and the best biscuits around. Bring your own kit if you need something specific; the furniture moves, so lay the room out however suits you.

How do I get in on the day?

The space is self-managed and available 24/7. Before your first booking you'll collect a set of keys from our studio manager and have a short building induction — after that you're free to come and go and get on with it.

How do I get there, and where can I park?

We're at 44 Richard Street, OL11 1DU — a three-minute walk from Rochdale railway station and the Metrolink stop, with the bus station close by too, so people can get to you from across Greater Manchester without driving. There's no parking on site, but you can park free at Central Retail Park directly opposite.

Is the space accessible?

Yes — The space is a step-free, accessible space. If you're a blue badge holder, contact our studio manager before your booking and they'll advise on the best arrangement for parking.
